Members using the facilities for personal gain

All members including staff are advised to look at the following message regarding the use of the club facilities for personal gain, either in monetary value or payment in kind. We as a Club are aware of the clubs responsibilities regarding persons using our premises for personal gain and the tax liability implications associated with it. USE OF THE CLUBS FACILITIES FOR PERSONAL GAIN Only members or members of staff can use the facilities for personal gain. The Club recognises that there are times when any of our members may require the use of the club for personal gain. Any member or member of staff wishing to use the Club for personal gain must apply in writing to the Club Secretary stating what, when and where they wish to carry out the proposed activity for personal gain, either monetary or payment in kind. Should anyone wish to receive payment in monetary value or in kind, they need to contact the Club Secretary well in advance to allow him to contact the rest of the committee regarding permission for any paid activity taking place on the premises. The committee shall then decide the merits of any such activity being sanctioned and a fee levied on the provider of any such activity. The provider will be expected to agree*to any fee levied and sign documentation accordingly, only on agreement and after consultation by the management can the proposed activity then take place with the agreement provided by the committee. Should any member not carry out the above request and be found to be receiving payment, or payment in kind for any activity provided for another member, the committee will terminate immediately that person’s membership from the facility. Likewise any member found to be paying for services received, either in monetary terms or in kind to someone providing that service without the above permission from the committee and management, will have their membership reviewed by the committee with various sanctions available to them. The Club reserves the right to use any means at its disposal (Including the CCTV system) to verify whether a member is providing services. Should a member provide a service that is not approved by the Club for monetary gain or in kind, it will be the responsibility of the member to show that they have not provided the service for personal gain, monetary or otherwise. *(or alternatively disagree and not carry out the planned activity) With Thanks.
